One of the most anticipated apps, TikTok, has finally arrived! This long-awaited release allows Apple Vision Pro users to enjoy short-form content in a whole new way.

The app boasts a number of exciting features that leverage cutting-edge technology, and of course, it comes with a hefty price tag.

A More Immersive Viewing Experience

The TikTok app for Apple Vision Pro is more than just an iPad app with a new skin. It features several exciting features that utilize advanced technology, including:

  • Hidden Navigation and Like Button: These elements are now hidden from view, providing users with an uninterrupted, full-screen view of the video content.
  • Side-by-Side Comments and Creator Profiles: Comments and creator profiles now appear as extensions alongside the video feed, creating a more immersive viewing experience, according to TikTok.
  • Immersive Environments: TikTok is integrated with Apple Vision Pro’s immersive environments, allowing users to enjoy short-form videos on the moon or surrounded by the beauty of Yosemite Flora.
  • Shared Space: This new feature allows the TikTok app to remain on the periphery of your vision while you perform other activities in Virtual Reality (VR). The app’s location is also static, so you’ll always find it in the same place whenever you use the Apple Vision Pro (as long as you’re in the same room).

According to Engadget, their team contacted TikTok to inquire about creator-specific features, but no further information is available at this time.

Prohibitively Expensive

The TikTok app is now available for download on the Apple Vision Pro. However, keep in mind that this VR device comes with a price tag of $3,500.

This is equivalent to years of pocket money, so users will need to think twice before downloading this app.

With such a high price point, it could be a barrier for the majority of users. So, will TikTok introduce creator-specific features to increase its appeal and offer a more affordable price point? Let’s wait and see!
